Kevin Schmidt — Following my 36th birthday this past summer, I tried out for Gotham to challenge my (rapidly aging) self. While this league has delivered in doing that, it’s evolved into something much more special: a network of new friends and mentors both on and off the court, pre-game laughs and post-game brunches, and a sense of family through interleague connections and intra-team comradery. With thanks to my coaches, captain and teammates, I’ve grown as a volleyball player and have become smitten with the entire Gotham experience. I would love the chance to continue that momentum as a Division 11 team captain.
