Richard Rivera Jr — Gotham has become a staple in the betterment of my emotional, mental, and physical state of being. My captain, my team, our coach and every referee and player have made me such a better person, and really make me feel like I belong somewhere. I’ve been in New York for a little over 7 months, and I have never been happier. I would like to make myself available as a captain of Gotham to be able to extend a helping hand to our community, especially in such trying times when our LGBTQ+ family is constantly going through attacks from all sides. With my teaching experience in the department of education and teaching volleyball, ballet, karate, art, and drama; I think I could help so many others to reach their highest potentials.
