Division 6 Captains Candidates
Players in Division 6 will be voting from May 6th, 2026 through 11:59 PM on May 10th, 2026 to elect captains for the Fall 2026 Division Play Season as well as Team All Stars for the Spring 2026 Division Play Season. If you play in Division 6 and have not received a ballot after 2 PM on May 6th, please e-mail elections@gothamvolleyball.org.

Brandon Gillis
In a city that never stops moving, Brandon Gillis has built space for connection, pride, and play. Through every serve, set, and rally, he's uplifted our Gotham volleyball community to make it stronger, safer, and more joyful. His leadership isn’t just seen in wins, but in the belonging, they create. It’s an honor to present my nomination for this well-earned recognition. Vote for me for love, for fun, for fierce and fiery volleyball. I love you my dears - see you on the court!

I’m baaaaaaack! I love being a part of 6 as it grows and changes. This will be my 9th season in the division and would be my 4th time as captain. I am so excited to keep the legacy of community in the division and also keep up with the level of competition! Also I’m so nice please vote for me! Go team!

As Cathy Moriarty said in Casper, “the b!@+€h is back!” I’d love to return to the team of captains to continue to the excellent vibes of D6! As always, I love playing with a group of diverse, fun and competitive girlies :). And if you’ve ever been on a team of mine, you’ll know that the vibes are always fun and welcoming with a good competitive edge. I think it’s time to see Mikey’s Bear’s back on the court!
Moe Abusway
finishing out my 2nd season in D6, i’ve played enough games to know i should absolutely not be in charge… which feels like exactly why i should be! i care deeply about two things: winning just enough to satisfy my competitiveness and creating a team vibe that makes people actually want to come back the next week. also, i think i’d be really good at the most important captain responsibility: pretending i understand rotations while keeping morale high!

Hi beloveds 👋🏻 I've been in D6 for 4 seasons, Power B for 3, and am looking to engage in a deeper way. My priority is being a supportive captain and helping make D6 the place to be.
