Aniru Thomas
Hey Folks! I'd love to be considered as one of your Division 9 captains in the fall because I think that I would bring a dynamic energy that's focused on keeping a competitive edge while also leaving room for fun Kiki's and queer joy.

Compassionate, friendly, inclusive, decisive and social; those are some of the attributes I believe a Captain must possess. If you believe the same, I would be honored to be one of the 8 votes you cast during this election cycle. Gotham has provided me opportunities to meet fascinating individuals. Because of this, I would like to run again as a Division 9 Captain and continue to pay it forward by cultivating a welcoming environment for both my team and the division, while having fun playing volleyball.
Chandler Dalton
Hey Gotham! I’m excited to run again for captain. I’ve learned a lot the last two seasons—like that light colored cotton tees aren’t the right jersey material choice and nobody knows Vine. Vote for me pls
Chris Matos
Chris here, after four seasons of Gotham fun, I’m throwing my hat in the ring for captain! I love this community and want to make sure our team is the one having the most fun in the gym. My approach? Good games, great vibes, and plenty of laughs along the way. I’m all about us improving together and playing hard, but my main priority is making sure we’re always leaving the court as friends. I can't wait to get back out there and kick off another great season with you all! Texas volleyball fan in my free time :)
Edwin Rodriguez
Hey everyone, I'm running for captain for next season because I care about building a team that genuinely gets along and supports each other. As captain, I would lead by example by staying positive, bringing people together, and making sure everyone feels included! Our team will hype each other up, have each other’s backs, and enjoy being together! We’ll be competing hard and winning games, but we’ll also be laughing, supporting and cheering for each other, and eating together after surviving a full match!

I am running for Fall 2026 Captain and would be honored to have your vote. I’m a veteran Gotham Captain a strong reputation for scouting and selecting skilled, diverse, competitive teams with good energy that have fun both on and off the court. I work hard to plan rotations to ensure on-court success and organize team socials and events to help the team get to know each other better off the court. As a leader, I also work collaboratively with my fellow Captains ensure a friendly, welcoming environment for all in Division 9. Looking forward to an amazing Fall season!
Ervis Domi
Sisters, I am once again asking for your votes for captain. I promise I won’t name a team after my name again.
Gerry Tanaka
I’m running for Captain because after three seasons on D9, I’ve mastered my most important skill: bringing the vibes and the cheers. I’ll keep the energy high, the smiles coming, and the drama strictly limited to questionable line calls (and maybe a missed serve… mine). I want to keep building a team that’s competitive but never forgets we’re here to have fun, hype each other up, and win some games along the way. Expect great energy and post-game hangs. Let’s keep Gotham cute, connected and iconic.
Greg Everett
Hi everyone, I’d love to serve as a D9 Captain for next season. I first joined Gotham through PowerPlay back in 2019, and from the start, what stood out to me most was that Gotham is about more than just volleyball, it’s about community. Over the years, that sense of connection is what’s kept me coming back and getting more involved. In the past couple of seasons, I’ve looked for ways to give back to the league that’s given me so much. I’ve volunteered at tryouts and have had the opportunity to serve as a D9 representative for the last two seasons. Those experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for what it takes behind the scenes to create a positive, inclusive, and well-run experience for everyone. I’ve also been fortunate to play under some truly great captains who set the tone for teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun. I’ve learned a lot from them, and I’d love the opportunity to bring those lessons forward and create that same kind of experience for a team of my own. As a captain, my goal would be to foster a team environment that is welcoming, organized, and competitive in the best way, where people feel supported, connected, and excited to show up each week. Thanks for your consideration. I’d be honored to serve the D9 community in this role.
HARRIS MENDEZ
Hi, I’m Harris, and I’m running again for Captain. If re-elected, I will build again an inclusive, competitive, and strong team that values teamwork, sportsmanship, a supportive environment, and confidence and elegance on and off the court. As captain, my goal is to bridge different strengths by creating the right balance, matching energy, and bringing players together to play as one amazing, calm yet competitive team, where fun is shared on and off the court. Also, let’s support aspiring captains who are inclusive, fun, competitive and sociable…perfect energy for a fabulous Division 9 Fall Season 2026, because we love our Division!! 🏐💋

I’ve played in D9 for the past two seasons and would love to serve as a captain for Fall 2026! I’ve previously captained in other divisions and enjoy supporting teammates while helping create a fun, positive, and organized team environment.

Hello D9! It would be an absolute pleasure to return this fall as a captain and give back to the division that's been such a blast. While I consider myself pretty competitive, I also believe that teams perform most iconically when every player has fun and the vibes are slay. I'd prioritize building a team culture around encouragement and support. I also love a thicc spreadsheet, so managing team logistics would spark maximum joy. Hope to see y'all on the court next season!

Dear D9 community, I had so much fun putting together a team this season that I want to do it again! The Saturdays with all of you mean a lot to me, and I'm committed to building a team that plays well and wins games, but most of all is supportive, shows up for each other, and is going to make this upcoming season the most fun one yet. This division is such a special community and I feel lucky to be part of it and I would love the chance to continue contributing to that 💖
Kevin Mahoney
Hi I'm Kevin. You might recognize me from such roles as Distractingly Sweaty Middle, Chastised Down Ref, and of course Captain of the Whales. Playing in Gotham has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in this city and I would love the opportunity to continue to help curate that experience for others as captain this coming season.
Lorenzo Soler
I would be honored to serve as your D9 captain because this league has been a foundational part of my life in the city. Through volleyball, I’ve found a powerful community where friendship and competition coexist, providing me with invaluable support and a sense of belonging. The sport has challenged me, but the people have sustained me. As captain, I want to pay that forward by fostering a team environment defined by inclusivity, growth, and shared joy. I aim to continue preserving this positive legacy, ensuring every player feels as empowered and welcomed as I have throughout my journey here.
Minas Gregoriades
Heyyy D9 - For those of you who do not know me, I’m Minas and I’m officially submitting my application for RuPaul’s Drag Race... Jk, for D9 Captain next season! I’ve been a part of the Gotham community since 2021, and if elected, this will be my fourth time captaining (shoutout to Material Girls, Sugar & Spice, and The Nicki Minases)! I’m looking forward to bringing good vibes, sportsmanship, and a little bit of competitive energy… but it’s important to remember that this is what?! Gay volleyball! Vote Minas, babes!
Paul Reeping
Coming out of a long retirement, I am excited to throw my hat in the ring to run as captain again. I think it’s without saying that I always create super fun teams and do my best to foster community. I’ve been in D9 for awhile now, and I am so lucky to call so many of your friends, and I am excited for another season with you :)
Toby Boff
Hi Everyone! I'm Toby and I super appreciate your consideration to be a captain for my 3rd season in D9. I find the culture and community we've built in D9 to be the most positive, supportive and social division in Gotham and as captain I would make sure to continue supporting this division's culture! I hope that the player's I have captained would attest to the positive and supportive environment I build on the teams I have captained (along with a little bit of competitive spirit :). Thank you everyone for considering me as captain!
